The Foundation

Our Foundation board is made up of business and private people from various backgrounds that are interested in the same things you are–including developing the quality of life in this region. The Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation was formed in February 1995 as an agent of change. We strongly encourage local residents to give of themselves in support of organizations and causes that will promote the health and well being of our community.

The Mission of the Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation is to enhance the quality of life and general health of residents living in the West Umatilla and Morrow County communities.

Resources are provided to worthy projects and individuals best illustrating foundation ideals and fulfilling the health needs of our communities.

Distinguished Service Awards

The Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation’s 56th Annual Distinguished Service Award ceremony will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Join us for a night of celebration as we honor those who have shown exceptional dedication and commitment to our community.

Tickets are $35 and will be available starting February 17th at the Hermiston Parks and Recreation office, located in the Hermiston Community Center. Join us for an evening of inspiration, recognition, and a delicious meal prepared by Cookin’ Spoo Style.

Christmas Spirit Award

The Good Shepherd Community Health Foundation is pleased to honor Josh Theros as the 30th Annual Christmas Spirit Award recipient. This award is given to those who exemplify the Spirit of Christmas by giving of themselves to others all throughout the year. Read more about Josh Theros.
